Dear God: What a blessing not all of my prayers were answered, for I sometimes was in error.

Dear God: May each of us recognize the beacon of light that shines in all beings.

Dear God: May my love and attention be the answer to someone else’s loneliness.

Dear God: May I express my love for all beings in kind acts and gentle words.

Dear God: May I be a pillar of strength for those in need of that strength.

Dear God: May we as people learn to laugh together, cry together and treat our lives together as the holy journey it is.

Dear God: If ever I hesitate to help the poor, may I remember but for your grace, I too would be poor and in need of help.
