Dear God: I’ve traveled near and far only to discover the greatest journey is the one within.
With Love To All ~ Dick
Dear God: I’ve learned that bravery is to confront danger for a cause so great that one would, if need be, surrender life, limb or freedom.
Dear God: Each day I am blessed to see, to hear, to walk, to laugh, to love and to be wise enough to never take these blessings for granted.
Dear God: May I condemn no-one but instead help those who are ready to find solutions to their problems.
Dear God: Among the people I most admire are those who don't seek attention for themselves, but instead give that attention to others, for this gives deserving people the credit they have earned.
Dear God: May I learn history’s lessons and not repeat history’s mistakes.
Dear God: When I seek you in each being, in my heart everyone becomes special.
Dear God: May the greatest quote ever become the practice of all religions: “Do unto others as you would have done unto you.”
Dear God: May we in our most difficult times still find the determination to love and protect others.
Dear God: I've learned there is no intellectual growth without an open mind welcoming diverse opinions.
Dear God: I’ve learned no-one should accept the teachings of others without first challenging the basis for those teachings, and that includes my teachings as well.
Dear God: May we seek the well-being of others as fervently as we seek our own well-being.
Dear God: I’ve learned to never give up hope. When things seem their darkest, this is often when the first light of change appears.
Dear God: Each day may I do something kind, however big or small, knowing collectively over time these kind acts will make a wonderful difference in the world.
Dear God: I’ve learned the greatest journey is always the one taken to help someone else.
Dear God: May I never state my opinions as facts nor intentionally mislead others.
Dear God: I’ve learned no-one is great who achieved “greatness” by harming others. We hold most dear people such as Mother Teresa, Gandhi and Nelson Mandela who achieved greatness peacefully.
Dear God: I’ve learned there is no such thing as fighting for peace, for violence can never bring peace, only love can.
Dear God: It is ironic that a nation can invest its resources in war and think it won’t have consequences on its own streets.
