Dear God: To think violence begets peace is insanity, as history has shown us. It is only through peaceful means that peace is possible.
Dear God: May I be a messenger of hope for stateless people and for homeless people, for their sake and for the sake of any children involved.

Dear God: May I recognize the needs of others, and share with them some of what I have.
Dear God: Instead of complaining about what is wrong in this world, may I appoint myself to fix what I can.
Dear God: One of life’s great ironies: War and preparation for war devour vast resources that could otherwise help others in desperate need and as a result prevent wars.
I cannot feed everyone, but I can buy a meal for someone.
I cannot clothe everyone, but I can donate clothes to someone.
I cannot end loneliness, but I can hug someone.
Dear God: You are the definition of hope, as we come to you when all appears lost in search of a miracle that sometimes you bestow upon us.
Dear God: If I am to set an example for others, may it be with my kindness and humility.

Dear God: May my love for humanity grow each day of my life.
Dear God: I’ve learned to recognize my loved ones, they are everybody I meet.

Dear God: May we each treat our elders with love and compassion, kindness and respect, knowing one day those elders will be us.
Dear God: Why do so many people imprison themselves in old ideas when the freedom of the fresh and new is right in front of them.
Dear God: Whenever life seems too dark, I look for humor, anything that could make me laugh, and I know when I find it, in stages I will begin to discover the light in my life again.
Dear God: May I be compassionate and generous to those down on their luck, knowing that I or any one else could find ourselves in a similar position.
Dear God: To condemn immigrants is to condemn my family, and most other families for we were all once immigrants.
Dear God: May I encourage kindness and generosity in others, by setting an example.
Dear God: May I seek to understand, rather than to judge, and to forgive, rather than condemn.
