Dear Reader, I have long used this axiom to help keep my life in perspective.

Dear God: May we learn from the wisdom of dogs, for they capture our hearts with unconditional love and devotion.
We cannot change the world if we cannot change ourselves.
To change ourselves, we must change our way of thinking, opening our minds and our hearts to thoughts of love and compassion, forgiveness and generosity.
Dear God: May I be as kind to the homeless person as I am to someone "important," for we are all on this brief journey of life together.
Dear God: May I celebrate the successes of others, and be there as well during their failures, when the crowd of well wishers is long gone.
Dear God: The holiest of all words is: Love. The second holiest word is: Forgiveness. And each word needs the other, to fully realize its purpose.
Dear God: I can hold a grudge and be miserable, or I can forgive and find happiness. When we control our emotions, many choices in life are just this simple.
