Dear God: So much of life is perspective. Many Americans complain about immigrants but from a Native American perspective, everyone of the rest of us is an immigrant.

Dear God: I believe to rescue children from hunger and terror, cruelty and despair is to elevate our souls to their greatest purpose.

Dear God: It is a fairytale to think someone else will solve the world’s problems. You have bestowed that power in each of us, and it is up to each individual including me to act.
Dear God: May I be a drop of generosity in someone’s ocean of poverty.
Dear God: I believe the greatest danger we face is to lose faith in each other, and to abandon our dreams for a better world.
Dear God: May I be a drop of empathy in an ocean of insensitivity.
Dear God: The light of hope is always burning brightly. May I be among those with the courage to carry that light to others unable to see it.
